Yippee Ki-O Ki-Yay!

What's gold and leather and sparkly and makes you want to kick up your heels? That would be some mighty fancy Centennial Celebration Tony Lama Boots, of course.
The legendary cowboy boot manufacturer of El Paso, Texas is getting ready to celebrate 100 years of boot making. Presidents, rodeo stars and Hollywood's rhinestone cowboys have all worn these iconic western gear.

Boot lover, custom jeweler and gemologist Susan Eisen, also an El Paso resident, got into the swing of it  by creating a commemorative fourth-edition El Rey boot covered in 100 diamonds (get it?) and rich 14 karat gold buckles.

“It was an honor to be chosen to adorn these one of a kind boots for Tony Lama and to show how the art of diamonds and gold can help celebrate momentous occasions in the lives of people, families, and corporations” said Eisen.

See her adjust the buckles on her wearable work of art.
These not-for-sale El Rey IV boots valued at over $50,000 will be accompanied by security  while on display at western specialty retailers all over the US throughout 2011.
