Well, Well Well . . .
That all went very well. The famed pinkie found it's new home today.
Geneva -
Christie’s Switzerland
November sale of Watches and Magnificent
Jewels saw a new world record for lovers of vivid pink diamonds. The
highlight of the Geneva sale week was lot 409, a 16.08 carat cushion-shaped
fancy pink diamond selling for SFr. 28,725,000 or $28,523,925US setting a new world
auction record for any pink diamond ever offered at auction.
The stone was
bought by a private Asian buyer, who named it just after the auction; Sweet
Josephine. The sale week welcomed established and new clients from 35
countries.
Sweet indeed . . . certainly for its namesake I'd say.
